Theme of the Day - Kansas

Sunday morning Amy and I woke up to the sound of three taps. I asked her if she heard the noise. Being a light sleeper, of course she did. Then it happened again. And yet again. This time we heard the muttering of a voice. We listened more intently this time and I could make out the words “no”, “face” and “bike”. We scratched our heads, mine directly on the scalp, but couldn’t figure it out. Finally, I decided to get out of bed. I crept slowly with a lacrosse stick in my hand (just in case). Right before I opened the door, I whispered to the dogs and told them to stay. Of course, they obliged. Katharine’s room was fine. Then I heard it again and it was coming from Mary’s room. I walked in and heard Mary say “There is no place like home, There is no place like home, There is no place like home”. I looked down and this is what I saw.
